Owners of Barefoot Charlie’s have been active members of the Hendersonville/Sumner County area for several decades. That passion continues into the activities of the restaurant. The Manises are quick to support the community, combining events at the restaurant with fundraisers for organizations in Sumner County or even schools in the county.

Hendersonville Star News - February 2009 - Super Bowl party benefits Relay for Life Children’s Wing at Martin R. Curtis Library, June and July 2009 - Barefoot Charlie’s restaurant raised funds during its Full Moon Celebration earmarked for the activity room to the children’s wing at the Martin R Curtis Library.

Culinary Club of Ellis Middle Schoo, April 2009 - 30 students from Ellis Middle School, members of the school’s Culinary Club, were treated to a behind the scene presentation on fileting a fish at Barefoot Charlie’s in Hendersonville.
